The Gazette's "Best of the Springs" celebrates the top local businesses and artists, and this year, one photographer is making waves in the Colorado Springs art scene with his stunning fine art landscape photography.
The Colorado Springs arts community celebrated another milestone when I, Daniel Forster Photography, was recognized as Silver Medalist for Best Fine Arts Photographer in The Gazette's prestigious "Best of the Springs" awards. I think this recognition highlights the growing appreciation for fine art landscape photography in our beautiful Colorado Springs region.
The annual "Best of the Springs" awards are a beloved tradition, where the Pikes Peak region's residents cast their votes to recognize their favorite local businesses, services, and artists. Unlike a jury or panel, these awards are a direct reflection of community support and public opinion.
In 2025, thanks to the overwhelming votes from my incredible clients, friends, and fans, my fine art landscape photography was recognized, a testament to the strong connection and appreciation for the stunning natural beauty we are so fortunate to live among. I am deeply grateful for every person who took the time to vote and support my work.
Being based in Colorado Springs, I am a photographer specializing in fine art landscape and nature photography. My journey into photography began with a deep desire to create and share the beauty that surrounds us.
Living in Colorado provides endless inspiration, and my work showcases the state's dramatic beauty, from majestic fourteeners to serene wilderness scenes.
What started with simple sunset photos has grown into a profound artistic passion. I aim for each image to tell a story and create an emotional connection with the viewer. The most rewarding aspect of my work is hearing how my photographs have moved people emotionally or brought the peace and beauty of nature into their daily lives.

My connection to the local Colorado Springs arts scene runs deep, with my work being featured in a number of prominent publications and projects. My photographs have graced the cover of Colorado Springs Lifestyle Magazine on multiple occasions.
Additionally, my photography was featured in the Visit Colorado Springs Travel Guide and I have a very large wall mural in the AdAmAn Alley mural project on the side of the City Administration building. My fine art photography work has also been represented at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts.
