Daniel Forster Photography
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What types of prints do you offer?
Daniel Forster Photography specializes in high-quality fine art landscape and nature photography prints available in three premium formats: ChromaLux Vivid Metal, Gallery Wrap Canvas, and Archival Giclée Paper.
-
ChromaLux Vivid Metal Prints: These are crafted using a dye sublimation process on 1/16" aluminum sheets, resulting in a high-gloss, durable finish that is weather-resistant and easy to clean. They arrive ready to hang and are specifically recommended for images with bright light, such as sunsets and nightscapes.
-
Gallery Wrap Canvas: These prints offer a "classic and elegant" look, where the image is printed on premium canvas and stretched around a sturdy wooden frame. This format provides a textured, painterly aesthetic that does not require glass or additional framing.
-
Archival Giclée Prints: These are produced on premium, archival-grade photographic paper using the giclée printing process to ensure "unparalleled quality," color accuracy, and resistance to fading. These prints arrive unframed, allowing collectors the flexibility to choose their own custom framing.

Q: Will Black Bear Pass open this year?
Black Bear Pass is an epic journey, even if you can only go up and down from the east side. In 2025, the pass is still closed due to a mudslide in 2024. The authorities have not given a date for opening yet. I don't expect an opening date until they start working the pass again. This is typical. Every year seems like a guessing as to as to if, when Black Bear Pass will open. I sure hope it opens in 2025! Read more about the pass and my trips up and over the pass on my article here:
